MUSKEGON 231-722-3556 *** WHITEHALL 231-893-5671

We at Drs. Gundersen and Zuker hope that you and your family are doing well during this challenging time.  We are closing both of our offices until April 13th.  We are cooperating with the CDC's effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 by limiting our contact with patients, but we want you to know about the ways in which we are still available to you!

Dr. Gundersen will continue to be available to you and your loved ones in the event of an eye care emergency.  Injuries, moderate to severe pain, new onset of floaters/flashes, sudden vision changes, and severe light sensitivity are all examples of possible emergencies.  If you have an emergency, call either office, Muskegon at (231) 722-3556 or Whitehall at (231) 893-5671 and leave a message. We will be checking messages twice daily, we will return your call as soon as possible, and be assured that we will arrange to see you if necessary!

Contacting us with eye care emergencies frees up your extremely busy primary care physicians and the emergency rooms for other types of health emergencies, and eliminates the necessity for you to go to a crowded facility.

If you are running low on contact lenses and are due for an examination, we will extend your prescription for a reasonable amount of time.  We can also order lenses for you, and we will have them shipped directly to your home.

If you were recently fit with contacts and have questions, or if you are having a problem with your contacts, call and leave us a message at (231) 722-3556 or (231) 893-5671 and we will determine the appropriate course of action and get back to you.

The governor has put in place an order for pharmacies  to go ahead and extend prescriptions during this time, so if you are in need of a refill, you should have no problems. Please call us with any questions or concerns you may have about a prescription.

We are not placing any new orders for eyeglasses at this time, except for replacements in the event of breakage or loss. We are following the governor's orders regarding social distancing, so we cannot allow anyone in the office for repairs or adjustments.

If you have recently placed an order, it is being processed and we will notify you as soon as it is available and make arrangements to get it to you. In most cases, we will be mailing to you, and you can bring the glasses in for adjustments at a later time.

If you have an urgent need of a repair, call either office and leave a message and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We are not performing any non-essential eye exams until further notice, However, we will certainly consider the needs of those of you with ongoing medical conditions.  Please call us with any concerns!

You may have recently received a message from us to call and reschedule your appointment. At this time, we ask that you wait on this. We will contact you when we are back in the office for regular business hours.

As we move through the pandemic, we will continue to update you with any policy changes.  We are thinking of you and wishing you the very best!  We'll see you soon.

Thank you.
